The Beatitudes: Living the Upside Down Way of Jesus
This 8-session curriculum helps kids step into the upside-down way of Jesus—not just by learning it, but by practicing it.
What if the way of Jesus isn’t about being the best—but about becoming something deeper?
In a world that celebrates success, popularity, and power, Jesus offers a different vision of what it means to be blessed. In the Beatitudes, we hear words that feel unexpected:
Blessed are the poor in spirit.
Blessed are those who mourn.
Blessed are the merciful.
These aren’t just ideas to understand—they are an invitation to live differently.
Through games, storytelling, discussion, creativity, and prayer, children begin to discover that:
Needing help is not weakness—it’s trust
Sadness is not something to hide—God meets us there
Mercy, peace, and kindness are powerful ways to live
Loving God shapes how we love others
The goal isn’t perfection.
It’s formation—one small, faithful step at a time.
What Kids Will Experience
Over eight sessions, children will explore:
Trusting God when we feel unsure
Caring about justice and fairness
Showing mercy and forgiveness
